Remember my New Year’s Day post? In it, I share several philanthropic organizations and positive ambitions I have for 2013.
Proud to Share is a side project I’ve begun in order to celebrate and share the positive things I encounter in my writing career and in our family’s world travels.
Today I’m Proud to Share the Afghan Women’s Writing Project, who’s tagline is “To Tell One’s Story Is a Human Right“. I stand by the tenets of this philosophy, and love supporting and promoting this organization even more because I’m a Certificated Reading Specialist whose focus is teaching children (young and old) to share their thoughts via writing. Can you say, “Perfect fit?!”
Be sure to check out Afghan Women’s Writing Project, and join me in celebrating and supporting the education of these brilliant women!
The Afghan Women’s Writing Project has been recognized by The Women’s National Book Association and the New York State Division of Human Rights.
Special thanks and a shout out to SueBob of http://suebobdavis.com/ for sharing this via Twitter! Find SueBob on Twitter @suebob. She’s totally rad and has so many brilliant things to say. 🙂
